The proposed changes to the MRGC bylaws had their first reading at the club meeting on August 3rd, 2017. You can review the proposed changes to the bylaws here.


Triploid grass carp were released in both of the club ponds. The carp were purchased by the club to help control the weeds.No fishing for the carp, or shooting carp with a bow. If carp are caught on a fishing line, please quickly release back into the pond. It is against the law to possess grass carp without a permit.


The club is looking for volunteers with carpentry experience to help out repairing and improving the old section of our archery building this August. All members are welcome, and it's a great time to satisfy the 8 hours required to maintain your membership.

Please note - The outdoor rifle and pistol ranges will be closed on Wednesday, June 7th from 8:30 - 11:00AM for trap machine maintenance.


The Club is holding an IDPA-style combat shoot on Sunday, June 4th. Arrive at 10:30 for the safety meeting and gun check, shooting started at 11:00. If you arrive late, you must find a club Range Officer so they can check your gun and brief you on safety.

This is a new event for us so there may be a few bumps as we go along, but the most important rule that will be strictly enforced is SAFETY!


The fishing derby is set for Saturday, May 20th. Registration starts at 9AM and the derby runs from 11AM - 1PM.

Don't forget the pond cleanup work day on Saturday, May 13th at 10AM!


The organizers of the Middleburgh Kayak race are looking for for volunteers to park cars on Saturday, April 22nd from 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM. If you would like to help please contact Joe Kopacz of Middleburgh Rod and Gun Club (518) 813-7024.


A pond cleanup work day is scheduled for Saturday, May 13th at 10AM. Come and help get the pond ready for the kids fishing derby. All help is needed and appreciated!


The first pistol plate shoot of the season is April 9th from 11AM until 2PM. Click here for more info.


NYS Park Police will be using the club on 3/28/2017 from 1-4 PM and 4/4/2017 from 1-4 PM due to the alternate location being snowed in. The NYS Park Police send their sincere thanks to all the club members for this opportunity.

An indoor centerfire combat shoot has been scheduled for Sunday, March 26th at 11AM. Click here for more info.


The indoor pistol range will be closed Sunday, March 5th from 10:30AM until 12PM for repairs.

The Rifle Range will be closed at the following times due to Park Police firearms qualification.

March 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 13th & 15th from 11AM until 5PM.

March 14th from 11AM until 9PM.


Please be aware that the outdoor pistol range is closed on Sundays from 11am to 3pm during the Muzzleloader shoots.

The Club is looking for volunteers to taking over the youth fishing derby. If interested, please contact Joe Kopacz (518-813-7024).


Effective immediately shooting ranges will be closed on Saturdays until 1:30PM during the youth archery program.

Membership dues must be paid by or at the March meeting, or your membership will be terminated. If you don't pay by the March meeting, you can still apply for re-enrollment until the June meeting. Please note, a $25 re-enrollment fee will be charged in addition to the regular dues if you pay after the March meeting.


It is with deep regret that we inform you of the passing of former club President Wayne D. Seaburg on January 1st, 2017. Our sincere condolences go out to his family during this difficult time.

Larry Strack's daughter Kelley presents a donation to the club for our youth archery program. Larry's memorial was hosted by the club and it was attended by 300 friends and family. We wish to thank the Strack family their generosity and the honor to show our love of Larry.
